The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Paul Cooper, Professor in the Department of Forestry at the University of Toronto, recently retired CWPA board member and former president of this association. Paul has been a keen observer of the Canadian Wood Preservation industry for decades and his research has greatly contributed to the advancement of the industry in many ways. Much of his work has been on CCA treatments and on industrial commodities such as utility poles and railroad ties. He is the ideal person to set the tone for this year’s theme of Industrial Wood Preservation.
